Delete your FarmHand account.

FarmHand is an app made by Fantastic Machines, Inc.. You can delete your FarmHand account at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. In the app

  1. Open FarmHand and sign in.
  2. Tap your name at the top right to open Account.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE and confirm.

It works right away. You are signed out and your account is gone.

2. Without the app

Already uninstalled FarmHand, or can't sign in? Send us this form, or email [email protected]. We reply to the email you sign in with to confirm it's you. We finish within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your sign-in account
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your PINs
  • Your notification registrations (the phones we send alerts to)
  • Your language and display settings

If you are a manager or owner and you are the only person on your farm, deleting your account also closes the farm and deletes all of its data.

What your farm keeps, and why

If you worked on a farm, the farm is your employer, and employers must keep payroll records: at least three years under federal law, and six years in New York. So the farm keeps your name with the hours you worked, what you were paid, and the work you did. Notes and messages you wrote in the app stay with the farm's records. Your conversations with the assistant are deleted with your account.

Your employer controls those records, not us. A manager can erase your name from them once the farm no longer needs to keep them. You can ask them to.

If you're the farm's only manager

If other people work on your farm, the app won't delete your account yet, because the farm would have no one in charge. First make one of them a manager. Contractors, vets and technicians don't count: if they're the only others, deleting your account closes the farm. Or contact us to close the farm.

How long it takes

  • Your account is deleted right away.
  • A closed farm is kept for 30 days in case it was a mistake. Then it is deleted for good.
  • Backup copies expire on their own within about 49 days.
